Speaker: U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell
Date: April 30, 2019
Time: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Mark April 30 on your calendar because United States District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell will be giving a CLE webinar on court technology for the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee.  This is the first ever livestream CLE webinar of its kind. And the Southwest Florida Federal Court Bar Association strongly encourages everyone to register.  You can view the FREE one-hour technology CLE on any computer (via the Google Chrome browser) and on smart phones (using the Crowdcast app).

Practitioners are increasingly aware of the unique challenges and opportunities court technology presents. Join us for a free, one-hour livestream CLE and learn directly from Judge Chappell (Middle District of Florida) and Committee Vice Chair Jason Kairalla (Carlton Fields).

They will discuss:

  • Judge Chappell’s background and experience with legal automation projects and courtroom technology;
  • best practices for creating automatic hyperlinks in court papers;
  • strategies for making effective use of technology in the courtroom; and
  • insights about the future of technology in the courts.

The livestream platform will allow viewers to interact with the speakers via a chat window, question button, and online polling. This free event is prequalified for one hour of Technology CLE credit from the Florida Bar.
